I was traveling alone and instantly felt at home in this laid-back and welcoming hostel. The staff, especially Linda and Cary, were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The common areas, including the lounge and kitchen, were spacious and clean. I loved the tropical vibe and the fire pit in the outdoor space was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings. The rooms were also spacious and comfortable. Lastly, the flexible check-in times allowed me to start my day early and explore the local area conveniently. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!

I had such a great time at Cool Bananas! The staff was super friendly and made me feel at home right away. I loved the surf lessons with Gnarly Tours, they were the best and the pictures they took were amazing. The hostel had a cozy atmosphere and the common areas were spacious. Even though there were only two working cooking plates, I didn't mind waiting because the hostel felt like a family and we all had a great time together. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. I had an amazing stay at Cool Bananas Backpackers and I highly recommend it.

cool bananas backpackers exceeded my expectations during my city holiday! the staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the location was ideal. the dinners and crepes cooked by the chef were delicious and reasonably priced. overall, a fantastic place to chill and make new friends!

What a fantastic experience we had at this hostel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and inclusiveness. The staff, especially Linda and Carry, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The hostel had a great vibe, with a beautiful outdoor eating area where we could meet and socialize with other travelers. The rooms were clean and spacious, and there was even a surf school attached to the hostel which was absolutely epic. We were able to enjoy activities like reef trips, coastal walks, fishing, and 4x4 drives, all organized through the hostel. we had an incredible time at Cool Bananas Backpackers and we can't wait to go back!

The owners and staff, Linda and Cary, were incredibly caring and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had an unforgettable experience. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like the occasional closure of the kitchen and common room for cleaning, I would highly recommend this hostel. my time at Cool Bananas Backpackers was truly wonderful.

The family atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. the clean facilities were a big plus, although the timing of the kitchen cleaning could be a bit inconvenient. We loved that the hostel had a designated family time where the WiFi was turned off, it created a nice break from technology. the campfire nights were a definite highlight and added to the overall cozy atmosphere. Don't miss out on the surf lesson with Lorenzo and Wez, even if you're not into surfing, they make it a memorable experience. We extended our stay multiple times because we just couldn't get enough of this beautiful place and the chill vibes it offered. Cons: Nothing, all excellent! 😊.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. the staff and fellow backpackers made us feel like part of a diverse and inclusive family. the spacious rooms and ample communal toilets and bath were convenient. We also appreciated being able to leave our belongings and utilize the facilities while waiting for our bus.

Felt right at home, no complaints at all.
